What is a “True” Pagerank?

07 January 2007 - By Ahson Rafiq - Filled in News

Ok lately i have come across so many people thinking that they have a pr6 domain when they really have nothing, what you should understand is a domain is worth the money and the effort only if you have a pr 6 on a domain and not on a domain with the www prefix.

Then when they are confronted of scamming/false advertisement they usually say that it can be solved with a 301 redirect….truth is it never ever works and it even destroys its low value that it used to have a pagerank can not be transferred from the prefix to the main domain.

Here is an example of my own domain:

GamersLeague.org
Now i could have used a 301 redirect and screwed it up totally but i worked with it made all internal links with the www prefix

Its that simple….just freaking accept it.

A true pr is on the domain its self for example :  domain.com    NOT on www.domain.com
And now a days there are so many of these screw up pr6 domains that their owners get outraged when someone say that its not a real pagerank, i just got off msn with a chat with this idiotic moron who no doubt is 14, its so easy to tell because these guys get angry fast and use curses soo fast that its funny, they go from respectable webmaster to idiotic scammer in seconds…

And i have another friend whos 19 he had a pr6 and was trying to sell it to me 15 mins after he found out it was a false pr he changed his internal link structure and poof his site went off like a rocket!

So in conclusion, dont get pissed because you didnt get to scam someone this time, and grow up.

    Hello mate,

I’ve experienced this also. – And I think I’ve felt for it.

    I bought this domain:

    http://keeperscafe.com – PR0
    http://www.keeperscafe.com – PR4

At first when I bought it, I didn’t recognise that it was ‘just’ the ‘www.’ that was PR4, then I noticed afterwards (typical of me)

I would assume that the PR4 on the ‘www.’ would be a subdomain just as if it were to be ‘forums’.domain.com…anyways the domain that was being advertised said PR4 DOMAINS, where really it isn’t the domain that is PR4 just the subdomain – if you like…oh well!

Lol yea thats what i mean too that they NEVER tell you its just on the prefix…and not the true PR

You can just change your internal link structure but dont do a 301 redirect
