Ok so last night i thought of signing up at the Shoemoney’s pride and joe, Auction Ads, well signup was really easy, they pay by paypal, another good thing, now i know my earnings at Adsense were nothing short of amazing, like 40% ctr, thats alot to be proud of right there, when i switched to Auction Ads i got lik 7 instant clicks on my biggest site, and guess what?no earnings.
Apparently they are PPA (Pay Per Action, now im not sure what a user is supposed to other then “consider” the offer by clicking it, wasn’t that the whole aim of this thing, to just get the word out and get into people’s heads the offers and company names?
Now they want our visitors to actually buy their stuff just to pay us a mesely 0.10$/visitor?
Im gonna give this another week, then its out.
PPA is never gonna work out, take my word to the grave.
Im really really tired of all this commotion on forums, they are not as good, you need way too much to have a forum, you should look at your venture from every direction then decide on a forum.
The perfect situation for a forum would have:
1-2k traffic
Responsive visitors (ones that at least comment on the main site or blog)
Targeted traffic (ones that actually buy stuff from you)
And socially active visitors (lets face it you can’t have make unsocial people interact with each other at all)
Now here are the top 10 reasons not to have a forum.
Too many moronic people to deal with - for example - “heya admin, why is it that im not a mod =p, im the only one here, make me admin and give me 50% of the revenue now!”
Way too much to do to get it started. advertising, modding, skinning and alot more.
Daily activities exceed the limit of a “part time job” deleting spam posts, keeping up appearances, daily updates, daily contests
Way too much investment and an even longer investment turn around plan. seriously waiting a whole year for a 40% profit? i dont think so..
Finally the last reason, ill say this again….the last reason is moronic people “ayo admin, look we both know that im the best here, so how bouts ya pay me 300$/month to look after your board for ya…yeh sounds good ay? i know XD” < i swear if i had a laser guided spear gun…..son of a….
For some reason i think that Google PPA release is actually worthless to Publishers, it supports Anal Advertisers only, i mean cmon already, Adwords get you good traffic, and some “returning” traffic, but if you start being an ass and ask people to “click then fill a form” just for a mere 0.10$, then thats just shitty, and it will kill any ad company, doesn’t matter even IF its adsense.
Most webmasters know that Adsense is the only reason Google is alive, well lets say its going down suga..
While working on my network today (big mishap, dont ask), someone told me to do a little keyword research and while browsing i ended up at youtube as usual almost all links lead there, quite amazing and frustrating indeed.
I just had to blog about this, since im waiting on my datacenter to call me in this hour.
I found this video there, and it gave me that old comfy warm 40s feeling, i recommend anyone to go and watch this, its really amazing, the artist and the voice a perfect combination, the best i’ve seen indeed.
Im back to 40s now, and as everyone knows Music Drives Gurilla, so better be prepared for an oldish, warm, 40s theme on Gurilla
People have been selling there sites on dp based on what they see on the toolbar mostly, the recent PageRank screw up really shook these people up, there were several disputes amongst which i wasn’t one of luckily, the problem was with 4 of google’s datacenters which “seemed” to people as an update but in reality were facing major problems, now these 4 datacenters were showing a pr0 on most sites, but others suddenly started throwing out random updates (which never happened in the first place) out and people assumed there was an update.
Now the toolbar issue…ok there is one ip that is used for toolbar queries (toolbarqueries.google.com) which showed a pr0 on almost every website on the net, which made a heck load of webmasters over at dp angry, now as ive said before and will from now on that the prediction is 80% valid, and people should wait for the update before selling anything.
Ok, since SEOLOGS sold out, someone has to blog about the daily google updates, so consider this the official seo blog that will update and revolve around google and other seo concerns.
Im very well aware of whats happening and will blog about it on a regular basis.
