Organic Link Building.

This is a reply to Venetsians Post on Organic LinkBuilding.

Google’s new “No Paid Links” rule is still stirring up storms here and there but the concept of why it started or why its being forced on webmasters is still a bit vague to people, i would like to take this chance and explain why organic backlinks are better for google and you.

Normally a webmaster in order to sell links would work on traffc and Pagerank, but for a webmaster time is money and most webmasters would rather pay for traffic and pagerank rather then work on it, i do agree with the prices going on these days on PR backlinks but the fact of the matter is those who sell links don’t have a real, strong, high pr site, its all because the way they market themselves, now the reason why big sites like youtube have a great CTR on their ads is because they don’t shove content/offers down the user’s throat all the time, it gives them room to breath, what webmasters do is use SMM or SEM to force people to visit the page and read the article or go through their so called “interactive” website, making websites and generating content is just like being original in real life, it does not matter if you have money, all that matters if you know what you are doing and its what people want.

In short, google is trying to keep things still interesting by introducing the “No Paid Links” rule, by doing this it encourages or in some ways pushes webasters to focus more on original unique content and not just unique but content that people want to read or want to find, As a basic unique content turn over wave, every 3rd or 4th day after you release some content or posts or entries on your site that are in the current trand and are being focused on, these will get backlinks and will be talked about on blogs,sites,forums..etc.

I am not against whatever Google decides to do, i mean we are here to find new innovative ways to make backlinks, generate traffic, handle daily market trends and find ways to make it all work, its a game and whinning about something like “no paid links” is not the thing to do, not at all.

So heres what i suggest any webmaster to do in order make some organic (real) backlinks:

  1. Go on a 3 day trend research, to find the latest news or the direction its going in, and take the risk and post about it,blog about, write about it, talk about it there are many ways to use a future trend. (i choose to write about it, unless its something a client of mine is interested in)
  2. Be an active social blogger, you can’t just make a blog and “hope” for it to get picked up, there are many social blogging networks like technorati or mybloglog, they all help in interacting.
  3. To promote your site for traffic or pagerank, do not buy links, rather go on a SMM (social media marketing) campaign, but i only suggest that if you have original/unique content which is in the current trend.
  4. Finally, try to be more patient with your site, and submit sitemaps regularly to the Google Webmaster Center

Thats it for today, you can read more of my SEO Tips to get more info.

    Hey G,
I absolutely agree with that, but we all know that natural linking is very slow thing and requires a lot of “HOPE” like you said. That’s why helping link growth is still the most important factor for PR - note not Page Rank but Public Relations for you website/business. Therefore I suggest to all to do some good PR campaigns like Article posting and etc to get some nice backlink counts and not rely on “natural” linking…

    Cheers,
