Well anyone can just pickup a new niche and setup a new site, it takes alot to boost a niche they have already worked with and which is already doing good but has potential to do 10x better, I am gonna use a site as an example to better explain this.
We have a site Tattoo Ideas and More now you can already see what it can be about, the title/meta/content is all relevant that gives it half the authority right there it has great serps and all pages indexed as well but the keyword variety is a little slim but that can be changed with more articles, if wee look at the keyword density we can see “tattoo” is their main keyword.
Other then the indexed pages the site also has a great backlink status at Yahoo, now backlinks are yahoo are still good because they are all dofollow links so you get link love and pr juice at the same time, this site does have authority but the adsense revenue was aroudn 0.10-1.00/day which is really good in general but poor considering a high paying keyword we have here, the best thing to do would be :
- Extend the keyword density, and cover more topics on tattoos, some are: “tribal tattoos” - “tattoo designs” - tattoo parlors” - “fresh tattoo designs”
- Another idea is to use the word “tattoo” as much as possible.
- Always remember the more pages of content you have the more traffic you will get, if you are getting 60/day from 14 pages indexed you can double or maybe triple it with 50 pages.
- As for adsense if your content is relevant enough you won’t even have to blend ads to get people to click it.
- Last but not the least try to make as many sub-pages as possible explaining areas of your niche.
