I posted earlier about the Click to Call ads and today while reading my feed reader, there was a post by copy blogger New Interactive AdSense Unit with Pictures Spotted, the ad is below and the way adsense is trying out new things i think its trying to compete with the new product based cpa ad networks that sprung in 2007 like AuctionADs and Widgetbucks.
To be honest, I’d love more ad types at adsense it gives me a wider tool selection to work with specially while making MFAs.
I still wonder, will google ever give more control over ads served to publishers?

These interactive ads look really neat! Google Adsense is certainly gearing up for a fight with product-based cpa ad networks!!

Awesome. They definitely are cool, great for google. But I agree that publishers should have a little more targeted control.

I haven’t seen these ads yet, but I will have to keep a lookout for them. They look very interesting. To zbigis: They are CPA meaning that you get money if they buy the item that they click on. Works like an affiliate program like Amazon.

It would have been nice if they’d been able to release this option to publishers before the Christmas season!

This is a really great feature. I love Adsense, I can easily add these new ad units to any of my websites without having each website be approved individually!

I would personally prefer the easy to miss basic google adsense ads as they are much more likely to keep a user on your own site, interactive things like this won’t be good for your own traffic.
