Sponsored Reviews

08 January 2008 - By Ahson Rafiq - Filled in News

Yesterday the first sponsored review was posted on blueverse and i already knew that something might go wrong since my readers are not used to reviews – at all – At first the reviews were to be posted in the general categories that were already there but i woke up today and read Brian’s Comment:

So in effort to please the readers I’ve made a seperate category for Reviews where they will be posted and the following banner will be posted wherever theres a sponsored review, this will help you differentiate between a review and a blueverse post.

If you guys have any more ideas lemme know!

Some more updates;

From now on all sponsored reviews will have the following topics of the site being reviewed:

  • Overview
  • Design
  • User Interaction
  • Service/Product Review
Google Buzz

    I think you are doing the right thing by marking them. This way one will know what is your words and what is basically company hype. This will help keep your integrity while still having a revenue income, IMO.

    I like the banner that you created for this. I will PM you at namepros about who made it as it is something that I might be interested in purchasing.

    It is a good move for you to do sponsored reviews. That way your readers can differentiate whether they are reading a sponsored review or a natural review.

    Nice little banner, and a disclaimer definitely is handy in sponsored reviews. Within the post itself is the best at all times if you ask me, site wide disclaimers would just take credibility down since after all then you'd still not know which post to trust and which not.

    I especially like the banner. Separating them just helps preserve your authenticity.
