Interesting information. I have always found that the more relevent keywords you include, the more traffic you can get. A ton of traffic comes from unknowing Googlers. Meta tags and its contents such as keywords are not to be forgotten!

What is the site which you were checking your statistics at?
It looks like a useful tool to have, perhaps you could post a link?

Some time ago I noticed funny thing. A "professional" company created a website for other company. They left empty space for keywords and many more different metadata saying "type your keywords here", but didn't told client company that they have to do it themselves. They also knew nothing about using HTML tags like h1, h2, h3, em or strong.
And those companies advertise as "professionals"... Luckily this blog is professional and I foretell bright future for the author :) !

Keywords for the homepage are very important if you want to rank high for those words. Getting a specific keyword per page is also very helpful.

this is just a tip for any one who may like to use it, and that is target one word for each page: A huge mistake that many beginners make is cramming numerous keywords onto every page. Instead of doing this, you should focus on one specific keyword for each page.
That way, you can make sure that the page is focusing on that one word without any distractions. If you want to target multiple keywords then it is necessary to create a separate page for each.
