Blogged dot com is being praised among the rest of the authority blog directories by techcrunch so it made me wanna see what the fuss was all about, well for a “new” blog directory it sure is filled up way too much I wouldn’t be surprised if this was the first bit of real traffic the site ever got (techcrunch effect). There are alot of blogs already in its database, i guess that’s what happens when you have no captcha or email verification on blog submission 
I did submit my blog there however it didn’t ask me for my email for confirmation just a simple adding page where you add a little info about the blog but nothing about the person who owns the blog so that if the blog is approved and added to the directory the owner would be notified.
Although there is no “blogger” profile there is however the reviewer profile if you signup with blogged it will give you a profile of a reviewer with all the options you might need to review blogs that are there.
Overall, i seriously doubt the ability of blogged and its reviewers to rate blogs because of their homepage feature, the site was not that good or anything special the topic of the site was vague and over used and in my opinion it de-values the site, I was surely turned off by it.

I submitted my new blog to blogged.com and I cant believe how easy it is to submit a blog. I thought there will be several steps but no. You just need to enter a few info and click on submit.

Thanks for pointing out the obvious problem on our “Hot on Blogged” section of our homepage. We discovered that this was actually an error and we’ve fixed that problem. The blog featured actually received a much lower score than was being shown on the website. We apologize for the confusion.

Ain’t it just a ‘blog’ version of social bookmarking sites? There are tons of such sites out there. Correct me if I’m wrong.

That’s a very good questions.
Blogged offers more than just social bookmarking. We offer editorial ratings that provide the basis for the quality of various blogs in our directory. One of the biggest questions when searching for a blog is: Is this blog worth reading?
And we try to answer this question by providing a 1 to 10 score for the blogs. We also let the users chime in and provide their ratings as well so they can be heard.
