Learning from your mistakes

Constant growth is really important to make money online and learning from your mistakes is the biggest step in making money online, most importantly you need to actually go for something in order to have mistakes, like in an video i saw last night on Michael’s blog where he mentions a quote from the video interview of Farah Gray

An important quality needed in an entrepreneur is the ability of taking the risks to learn from any mistakes that occur during the way, when I started working online for a living I had more then my fair share of mistakes but i never regret them because there was a lesson to be learned on every step and even now after 2 years of online work, I still learn a new lesson every now and then and if you do lose money to learn an important lesson, so be it. Some reasons to go for risky steps in order to learn from them are highlighted below.

Experience

Whether you passed or failed does not matter, if you have dealt with several projects and in every project you gave your very best and learned something from it, that only means that your next step in that field would be even more thought out and much much more successful then last time, making mistakes on new projects and ventures is okay as long as you learn something from it to prevent those mistakes from happening again. Stats is another part of this tip, I am a stat junkie, i love trying new things and watching their results, good or bad does not matter as long as i get proper stats for everything i do, it helps me make better decisions in the future and lose less money.

Gradual Growth

Rapid growth always stalls really fast and ends up with your head in the ground, learning every aspect of a project gradually and developing it at the same pace gives you much better results, some of the best projects are made through mistakes not through instant and rapid growth/development, even while making/marketing new projects make sure that you are not hurrying anything.

More confidence and better management skills

As i grew in the internet marketing business and made tons of mistakes then developed strategies and tactics to avoid those mistakes, I realized that I had more confidence as a person and a decision maker which is crucial in a manger of any business, taking the leap forward and learning from any mistakes in the way gives you alot of confidence over time and you end up with tons of stats and facts that help you in any field that you might want to go in to later on in life, It is just like getting inspiration for blog posts through movies and other mediums. Having some experience in internet sales could help in alot of ways in real life marketing, some tactics might be a hit in real life if you implement them right.

Last year I read a post on Problogger on 10 mistakes that will kill a blog, I think its better that i point these out just in case you would not make those mistakes in particular, its the least i can do to outline the no-go zones.
