Its important to know your friends but its crucial to know your competitors, your success depends on your comeptitor’s growth compared to your growth. constant improvements are a big factor in a blog’s success. Blogger’s learn from their past mistakes and better themselves by improving themselves on those particular mistakes and making better contnet or mantaining their business plan better. This is what I’ve learned from my analysis of all of my competitors and similar blogs in this niche.
The who, what and where
- Who’s your competitor,
- Whats his background in the niche
- Does he have the proper experience and the skills to be better at it? t
- What has he done in the niche so far,
- Has he proven himself as an authority within the niche,
- Where is the blogger based from,
- What platform he uses,
- What theme style he has taken up,
- What strategies he uses,
- Where he advertises,
- What he uses to market his blog
Those are the things you should know and learn from and maybe even embrace them yourselves, copying content is illegal but copying tactics and strategies is not.Its okay if you use the strategies used by the successful to be successful.
Why and when
Why you should embrace certain strategies and when you should execute marketing campaigns, this could be the most important trait to learn, having proper tactics with good solid marketing campaigns executed in the perfect time can give you the maximum exposure.Content is king but without proper promotion and awareness it’s worthless. Think if it as having a graet money making idea without anyone to teach.
Strategies and Tactics
Every ’successfull’ blogger has his own set of strategies and tactics of promoting the content on their blog or just basic content promotion maybe. If you can learn from their ways of promotion and/or creation of content then you can constantly improve your skills to keep blogging and keep earning more.

Excellent article and tips. While I hold no animosity whatsoever towards competitors, it is wise to know them and see what they’re up to. I read tons of blogs daily, for tips on what is and isn’t working for them.

I have been looking at so many niche blogs over the past 3 months whilst trying to plan how i was going to style my blog and how to get everything to come together that I feel like there is no room left in the blogging market. Then I wrote my 1st exclusive review and went from 30 visits a day to over 600 a day and I realised it really is content..content..content
