Having Multiple Blog Authors

By Ahson Rafiq in Blogging on 10th April 2008

There comes a time when you have to decide whether to do all the blogging yourself or have other authors contribute content to your blog as well. Depending on what kind of feel you want your blog to have, your decision will make a long-term effect on your blog. Let’s go over what each option has to offer you and your readers.

First things first, let’s go over what kind of effect doing all the blogging yourself will have on your blog(s) and readers. If you want to create a more personal feel to your blog, this could be the option that appeals the most to you. With just you blogging, your blog is centered on your personality. While this can be good, it can also tend to overwhelm you with work. This would be more likely to happen if you have multiple blogs. While you would spotlight your personality more by being the only one blogging on your blog, you will also limit the amount of diversity that is shown within blog posts. This isn’t saying that you won’t blog about the different topics your niche has to offer, it’s just saying that different people have different ways of doing things and you may not notice certain things others tend to notice.

Having multiple blog authors definitely helps you stay away from being overworked. The more blog authors that you have means the more posts that you will have. This isn’t telling you to just quit writing blog posts because you have a couple blog authors writing posts for your blog. You still have to show that you are doing what it takes to make your blog successful. Having other blog authors working with you on your blog will also open up some extra time that you can use to focus on other parts of your blog’s inner workings. Another good thing is that with multiple blog authors the personality will be diversified. This allows the blog(s) to have content that is looked at in a different way. This can help your readers find content that they can understand better. You will also have the ability to bring different skill levels and areas of expertise to the presence of your blog(s). This is a great opportunity to show that your blog(s) is a great source of information about your particular niche.

This is where it all comes down to the decision of doing all of the blogging yourself or to have additional bloggers help you provide blog content. There are some great benefits for each available option. Multiple blog authors seems to be the way to improve your blog in a timely manner whereas it would probably take a little more work and time at the keyboard to do it all yourself.

The choice is up to you and nobody else. There are more benefits to each one, you should list them and consider all of them before you make your final decision. After all, you want the best for your blog(s) is you are serious about blogging.
