Better Blogging – Why you should mix it up once in a while

Blogging is fun, staying on topic is profitable but at times doing the same old thing over and over gets boring, not only for the reader but for the blogger as well, that’s why I try to either give away free stuff, talk about random life topics that are still kinda relevant and on-topic. If nothing else then I just go for a new side project, currently I only have 5 serious side projects going on. I’m gonna cover all the points above and some more later in this post.

Wide range of articles

Going off topic but still kinda still on topic helps widen your range of articles and there for giving your domain/blog a bit more authority then you would’ve had before, always teaching and no conversation/humor is never a good blog in my opinion, every blog needs a bit of fun and excitement every now and then.

Passion Blogging

I always find it refreshing to blog about what I’m passionate about (usually it’s money), not only does it give your blog a wider range of articles and a refreshing change but also it’s a neat little trick to get relevant traffic, see, if you blog about what you love often then you will get new readers, now these readers may just share the same views as you (60% chance) so, no mater what you blog about they might have the same views on those things and won’t unsubscribe.

SEO, SERPs…blah blah blah

Yea with all the new articles and a fresh pace of content on your blog, your blog will get more indexed pages and might just be mentioned on a blog in the same niche for a good article and such. I’ve had a couple mentions of that kind when I changed my topic of articles.

More Sponsors

When you type alot of different topics then you have a chance to get new sorts of sponsors for your blog (specific blog posts). Having specific sponsors for different posts helps you target your traffic much better, although it’s not the best option if you don’t have enough time, it’s certainly really successful.
