How to make a T-shirt Affiliate site or blog - Become a T-shirt Affiliate Marketer
By in Make Money Blogging on 2nd August 2008Before I started to write this post I did alot of research and googling and I know that DoshDosh made this post as well but I’m not sure that everything they say there is a sure shot. I on the other hand did my own research and own my own T-shirts site, I started v3tees back in 2007 and since then I’ve learned alot on the niche of t-shirt affiliate marketing. You can view my site by clicking the image below.
Get Affiliates
The only kind of affiliates that are good for a blog that actually do sell are only the ones that allow you to make links to each of their products, its pretty much about the limits they give you, if you can use their product images on their site to make affiliate links, selling links gets much much easier then it is usually. You can also use network affiliates which are usually much much bigger then the ones I’ve posted here but the better they are the harder it is to make a sale, usually because of their prices. The only affiliates that actually do work for me at the moment are:
T-shirt Hell

Split Reason

Now that you have the affiliates it’s time to make the blog:
The blog, Theme and Plugins.
First of all install a copy of wordpress, and for the theme you’ll have to spend some time to get creative with a free theme out there, like the one I have on V3tees, It’s a free theme by AskGraphics but i added/removed alot of things to make it stand out more. Here are some resources for free themes, some good ones for this kinda niche.
- AskGraphics
- SkinPress
- You can also checkout my free wordpress themes
Plugins
Well its not as important to have these but still its good to cover all aspects of added value for a blog.
One more thing to be done before you can start blogging about tshirts and making 4$ at a time. You will have to set a permalink structure, heres mine, it works great for me.
After you have those things installed you will have to basically do the following in the order it’s posted
- Make a new category, keep it simple if its shirts make it “funny shirts” and put all the shrits there if its not a shirt then “funny hoodies” or something like that try to keep the categories as less as possible.
- Make a new post
- Enter title of the post as the title of the tshirt or the slogan on the shirt
- Enter the image of the product, try to get the biggest one.
- Add your affiliate url for that specific product
- post.
It works for me, it should for you too!

This does look promising , do you still think there is time for people to get into this market , or is it full to bursting point .
Also what sort of profits are involved with this sort of venture

Ahson
I can’t see your site anymore, I assume it was taken down or sold.
How did you make out with your tshirt blog? Did you get many sales and did you find it difficult to find content to write about?
I’m thinking of putting together a tshirt blog (this post inspired me) but wondering what kind of content I could really put up, ya know?
Cheers
