In my last post where I talked about my first adwords campaign some questions came up with arguments that adwords is absolutely no good for anything not even simple traffic. Well that’s why I’m here today explaining just why adwords is good for you. And no I’m not adding any affiliate links to this post :p
Conversions
If you are already registered with a affiliate network then you must know how hard it is to get a conversion on anything, well if that’s the case then you must have also thought that “If only I had relevant traffic, I’d get sales”. Yea buddy, thats the whole deal with adwords, finding relevant traffic through keywords and placement, my first campaign I made $4.50 from $11 with Neverblue ads. The other campaigns are giving out alot more then that by now.
Leads
If you are into email marketing, you’d know that getting subscribers is hard…haaard work. You can either advertise on the forum and spend a majority of your time there, or you can run an adwords campaign, leading to a page that has alot of free stuff that your site is offering only if they subscribe to your email newsletter. As a matter of fact I made that kind of campaign last night, I’ll post results after tomorrow!

NICE IDEA! That little post is worth gold. I have build a fairly large and responsive database, by using that exact method: Giving away alot of stuff, by requiring a newsletter signup.
The good part is, if you give away free resources, ebooks on marketing and advertising, you will then build up a database of people in need of this things. Chances are good that some of these subscribers will buy a similar product in the future…and remember to backup those subscriber details:-)

Very Nice reason, in affiliate marketing you should have your own domain used for Adwords campaign because Google do not allow direct link or redirection so you need to setup your own squeeze page for that.

I am going to try to complete this affiliate website by next month and I will advertise it in adwords for the conversions. You know what, it would be awesome if you taught us more about this.

I have never tried adwords myself but I have seen several fellow bloggers use it so I am contemplating using it as well to benefit from the relevant targeted traffic.

I personally love Adwords – since I do all my campaigns on vouchers, it makes marketing a lot cheaper for me.

I use adwords a lot! You do not only get your leads, but also very important data! In your logs of your ISP (cpanel) You can find the exact phrases people are looking for. Those phrases you can you to tweak your adwords campaign. Remember long phrases > lower CPC. Adwords is not only about some keywords and a ad. Is a project of tweaking and scaling. At start, your campaign costs money. If you receive about 50% of what you spend, it’s not so bad. Most people drop out then! But that is where it starts! testing scaling etc

I have a blog about acting auditions and I have Adsense ads on it. I do not sell a service or goods, just free information and my income is solely from adsense ads. Would AdWords be productive to use to further promote my site? I am getting about 2500 hits per day.

I would use adwords only if i am selling a service or a product. If you are depending on adsense for income, then using adwords for traffic is not a nice idea in terms of profit. How much do earn through adsense. Can you please share if you don't mind.

One more question what is the url of your site that gets around 2500 hits. Thanks.

certainly adwors is a great IM instruments and few people can today afford not to use it if they are serious online… but never forget there are other alternatives to it, and those might be cheaper!
