After I lost a good earning site to something as stupid as domain expiration I thought I would make a list of things to do every 20 days, yea I know this could be done monthly but for me doing this every 20 days gives enough margin and heads up too..
Here are the top things on my list to check every 20 days.
- Sever Payment Date
- Domains and their expiration
- Incoming links at top sites in portfolio
- Sell Ads
- Buy resources
- Advertise (viral campaigns – small ones)
- Check subscriptions to services..such as billing..mailing list..etc
- Overdue payments (incoming/outgoing)Plan next marketing strategy for sites
- Get more articles for my blog
- Make sure you have enough money to get by for the month
- Buy links (maybe)
- Sell sites
- Start new projects (maybe)
That’s pretty much the only things webmasters would usually have on their table.

The most important things is to check your domain expiration date. I usually renew the most important domain for 2-3 years.. lol.. thats the most important because if you lose it you’ll lose everything.
p.s: I hope you can set this blog rss feed to full post content.

I beleive if your serious about your business then you should renew that domain for several years,it says we are here to stay, and in our www world it is here today and not tomorrow.Domain names will only go up in price,so your not really saving anything unless you happen upon a great sale price for renewals.
I like the Idea of a list for a webmaster to abide by.

Good list of dos. Only one don’t. Don’t forget to do all the things on the list!

I like to use GoDaddy for my domain purchases and they seem to send out so many renewal notices that one would have to be waiting to the last minute to renew their domain to miss it. Which I have come close to as I tend to leave all my domains to the last minute before renewing.
Not sure why I do that, I try to be early for everything, unlike my wife and son.
Another thing that I have only just started doing is renewing for multiple years. I used to only renew for just one year. I guess that was when I wasn’t sure if a domain would make a go of it or not so I would just register for one year.
It does seem that Google likes domains that are renewed for long periods of time as it shows a bit of commitment.

I think that after having a domain for some time, you should have a feeling of what your plans are for it.
If you plan to keep it for some time, the best is to put it in auto-renewal, thet worst that can happen is that forget about it and end up paying a few dollars for something you don’t need anymore.
You’ll always receive an e-mail about the domain being renewed and you can turn the auto-renew off and it won’t happen again.
This way you don’t overdo your frequent webmaster tasks and can have some peace of mind. We need that too, don’t we

It's really actual. Sometimes even You have to choice: what to do…

that is really unfortunate that happened to you. Did you not get any sort of warning or notification telling you about renewing the domain ?

And there is one more thing, which is very… very important!
It is to make copies of the sites and blogs!
One time my blog was damaged by host…. How I was depressed!
