Google Chrome. I’m impressed.

Google Chrome was truely a blessing for me, I mean it, it’s much better then firefox can ever be. I think I get it, why google added the whole “Firefox with google toolbar” era, In my opinion all that was for research, to know how the public would respond to it and what they like/hate about it, after all that trial/error that they say firefox go through, google ended up making the better choices, google chrome, to me looks like a webmaster’s web browser, except for one thing, there are no webmaster tools, such as serp checkers, alexa ranks, pr tools..etc (I’m kinda sorta sure that will come out soon as well.

After working with firefox for over 2 years, It’s been like a bad marriage, I’m at a point where it’s just annoying, ff2 works barely and overloads the shit out of my pc and ff3 is so useless that I can’t even begin to explain it. Here are just a few issues I had to deal with firefox.

  • Smaller working area with all the plugins I use
  • Overloads if there are more then 8 tabs open
  • Overloads and closes for no reason sometimes
  • Doesn’t even load a site when its so clearly working sometimes
  • Closes for no damn reason sometimes
  • Mixes up the plugins I use and freezes the whole damn window, after 20 minutes, closes on its own.

interesting points. that’s one reason i can’t make the switch to chrome actually. the fact that i have all these add ons, whose functionality i can’t yet do without. :O

You have listed some very valid points.
Although I have not come across as many “problems” as you have mentioned for firefox, I definitely like Google Chromes features.
Its fast. And the biggest advantage, is that separate tabs use separate processes which may increase the overall usage of RAM but it adds to the stability and speed of the browser.

The only thing keeping me from shifting to chrome is the webmaster tools that you spoke of…. I just cannot live without em!

I agree, Google Chrome might be the best browser for webmaster after google integrated it with all webmaster tools. I can’t even install google toolbar with it… lol. and sometimes it crash. Its better to stick with firefox now.

I am a big firefox fan and if you say chrome is an improvement, i will really need to check it out! My firefox never shut down on me yet.

Sorry to hear you have had so much trouble with FireFox. I have been using FF since it became available and have tons of addons. I also have a session saved that loads 17 tabs at once without crashing.

My FF never crashes and I have plenty of workspace.

It may just be your PC that is giving you the problems.

Looks like you had quite a few issues with firefox and google chrome is the one for you. But I doubt that google will ever add any serp checkers, and other webmaster tools in the browser.

I agree it could be a perfect site if not all these crashes happened sometimes. So now it will be still better to use Firefox
