Adding comments to other blogs is always a great idea. Some of my best posts are in part because of the great comments I got from people returning the favor. Other bloggers are usually the best comment posters because they have a lot to say. Social bookmarks have also helped me a ton. You need to build up your profile in the different community mention above to leverage from it. This is especially so for participating in forums and social media network.
