AdSense has been the main advertising application most internet marketers use in doing their business. However, not all blogs and websites profit from the ads fed by this application, hence their tend to question why they are not as successful as the other people in the industry. Of course, while there are tips and tricks which you can use to improve the profits you reap from advertisements, it is also equally important that you learn about the things which you should avoid doing on your AdSense blog. These things may be simple and unnoticeable, but they are capable of destroying your business over the internet.

Here are the things which you must avoid:

Page cloaking. It is not ethical to load your web page with a bot which your visitors will never see. Although this has been a common practice among various webmasters in the quest of bigger, faster profits, this is definitely not a good thing to do. In a way you deceive your visitors by luring them to click on an ad which they may not want to check out.

Hidden texts. Hidden texts come in the form of text links which are too small to read and are in the same color as the background of your site. Doing this may lead Google to ban your site since you are hiding links from your readers.

Link farms. Yes, it is great to collect links to your site, but it is also important to control your link-building activities. Sites with more than 100 links on just one page are banned by Google mainly because link farming does not promote quality, relevant interaction between you and the search engines, hence distorting the traffic within your niche. You may not be banned at first, but you will for sure incur irrelevant, untargeted traffic to your site.

Multiple submissions. A common mistake most people in the online business are guilty of is submitting multiple copies of their domain and pages. This can be a ground for termination of your site, since multiple submissions distort the algorithms of search engines. Hence, it is best that you check if your domain has already been submitted to a search engine before trying to submit it again. If you found your site, then there’s nothing you can do anymore.

Multiple domains with the same content. Among the tasks search engines do include checking registry dates, domain IPs, and other important information that track the identity of the sites present in the internet. Because of this, having multiple domains that contain the exact same content should be avoided, since search engines can track you down anytime. This same rule applies to content posted on separate pages and sub domains, and forwarding them to multiple domains.

Doorways. Doorways are like page cloaking procedures. In doorways, you get to load a page with certain keyword ads which are intended to redirect visitors to another page. There are a lot of SEO firms which offer this kind of service, but since this practice can only put your business in danger, then you might as well avoid using this service since it can only cause the downfall of your site.

Page rank for sale. You may not have noticed it but selling PR links have grown popular in the internet industry. There are some sites who sell their PR links or trade them with other blogs or sites. Indeed buying links can help increase your page ranking, but do not place it on the direct advertisement of your page ranking. If you buy and sell PR links to your site regularly, then you may be banned in the near future.

Keep in mind that the above-mentioned techniques are easily grasped by different search engines, so it is better not to waste time to invest on such ways that may at first give you good results, but can put your business at peril in the long run. Understand that search engines have their own set and rules and regulations which you must abide in order to continue your online business, and avoid gettng banned. Losing your business because of these techniques not only puts a shame on your site itself, but also taints your credibility as a good online business partner.
