There is some good "food for thought" here with respect to the pros and cons of white hat vs black hat blogging techniques.

I'll take your advice and stick to the white hat techniques because, in my case, I want to be around for the very long term.

Black hat techniques is not bad at all, in fact it helps you to learn more on techniques and bugs on search engine that you can use thus being corrected by search eninge through rules and guildeline to be followed by white hats
