I darn near had to slap my hundred bucks down on the table and report “I’m out!” No sooner had I finished the post about taking a break from guru’s for 30 days (Take a Guru Break) than I received a couple of tempting emails. I sorta broke my rule, by accident, by opening and reading one of them. In my defense, it’s someone I follow regularly and it was actually a blog post.
I read the post and was darn tempted to buy…but I held strong!
In the last 2 days, I bet I’ve saved at least 3 hours of wasted time looking at offers, reading long sales letters, and generally dreaming about untold riches deploying some of these methods. Instead I’ve been using the time to launch some new PPC campaigns to hone my skills.
I know not everyone agrees with me, but I have to say, this is pretty freeing giving myself permission to just get rid of all of those email offers. This experiment might last longer than 30 days. Course there are some decent things that come through. I’m hoping in the end, that I’ll be able to better select a smaller number of “gurus” to follow and save myself some much needed time.
So, am I the only one undertaking the challenge? No compadres joining me?

I am in. Not that I have a great deal of guru mail, but I am keeping pace with you.

I don't follow any of the gurus. About once a week I take some time and go down each blog I've subscribed to in my reader and take a few minutes here and there to read the latest posts and learn a trend or two that way. I limit myself to one hour max, otherwise I would be wasting a lot of time! And if it's not something I can implement quickly and free (and actually has some sort of proven benefit) I'm out of there! The offers are always tempting, but 99.9 percent of the time I find I've known all along everything they've rewritten that I learned from someone else months ago.

I think reading sales letters will give you the latest marketing strategies, and new developments. Some times you will get new product creation ideas, or a product imporving which will make a few more sales.
I always read offer letters and keep some interesting ones. Once I made an article from the idea I got from one of these emails.

I hate to say this but this is a horrible field to be into at this time. The very best way to succeed in writing at the present time is to write a book that destroys someone. You get famous and the enemies of the person will buy it.

So, how goes it? I am floating!!

The thing is, many people buy into the crappy downline secrets and internet network marketing lead generation tactics of IM gurus and not much attention is paid to the quality of the product that is being sold. Instead, you should be able to identify the needs and frustrations that your potential clients face. Then you should develop an attractive and personal business identity. This is the concept behind attraction marketing, a new internet network marketing lead generation technique where you develop ongoing relationships with clients and become a person of value by educating your buyers first and then moving them along the buying path in your communications. Making yourself an indispensable source of information is a perfect internet network marketing lead generation strategy that can establish your credibility and identity as an authority networker so the greater the chance those customers will purchase from you.

There are lots of ways to make money online: From owning blogs with AdSense to big sites selling advertising space. But i hate that site and their owners who earn money offering malware and spyware.

Yes I'm sure you could waste a lot of time if you looked into every e-mail sales pitch that comes your way. If you work in front of a computer you have to make yourself stay focused and avoid wasting time wherever possible. If you are self employed making money at home, this is even more important. Cutting down on newsletter lists is a must. Allow yourself time to follow several blogs, forums or whatever, but still avoid the temptation to try everything discussed.

I really try to limit the total amount of junk e-mail, newsletters and other spam that I receive. Each of those e-mails is wasted time that I cannot get back. For each such e-mail you get, take the time to decide if you really benefit from that e-mail. If the answer is no, hit the unsubscribe button.

article is interesting. I think the most important things in a blog are two: the contents (of course!) and graphics! greeting to all and good luck
