Here’s a breakdown from the blog’s earnings for June 2009:

Thoughts from last month
Last month was one of the best months we’ve had at blueverse.com. Income was up to a high in 2009 so far. Probably the most surprising thing was the Adsense earnings. The highest I’ve seen on any of my blogs in quite a while. Makes me wonder if Google is trying to increase earnings for people displaying Adsense to keep them in the game.
What I’m working on this month
For this month, the biggest thing I’m targeting is more regular posting. I’ve been slacking pretty bad due to other projects I’ve been working on. Fortunately those are giving me some great material for the blog. Posting regularly is one of the biggest things that separates wanna be bloggers from the big boys. Setting a post schedule and sticking to it can be a tough task to tackle.
This month I’m going to try and at least set a good example. My goal is to post between 3 and 4 times a week. If you have something you’d like me to post on, please feel free to fill out the contact form or leave a comment.

I think these kinds of posts are always interesting. Have you considered posting any other metrics or are you worried about Adsense ToS?
July 7th, 2009 at 3:09 pm
Yes I think these income reports are a great idea. They open up newbies eyes to the kind of money certain blogs make. It may also give ideas of how they can further monetize their own blog or website. I agree with your strategy about trying to post at least 3 or 4 times a week. That is likely the #1 thing you can do. Also try to regularly build backlinks to your blog.

Congratulations. By any yardstick, the income is creditable. I am also glad that you have decided to post more often. That always helps.

I don’t get very well the concept here, so I believe people may disagree with it.

I have always liked the income reports on blogs, I like reading them, it's good to see how much money the website is actually making. There are tons of websites that I wish I had access to see how much traffic/money they were making.
From my personal experience… I was going to do it on my own personal blog of mine, but I've since decided not do it, and I've shut down the website completely, mainly due to privacy issues. I know alot of the top bloggers do it, and give their full income report, but for me I decided not to, because of my privacy. I guess I fear a potential "stalker" etc in real life. Jealous people you know?

Very interesting your monthly report… hope you will keep posting it. A general though: your blog has an alexa rank of 72,000 (very high), but that makes me wonder if we can relate how much a blog earn (or can earn) to the number of visitors. I hear of sites/blogs with far less visitors making far more (or perhaps they lie?) So I wonder if we can infer any kind of metric…

First of all let me congratulate you on your earnings for the past month. Actually, i like reading reprts like that as they give you a good insight about how a successful blogger like you manages his account and the earning one could expect once his blog gets popularity….

Solid total earnings, my site earned similar earnings last month yet all off Adsense. I am trying to start paid reviews though.

Looks like you had pretty good earnings… just look forward to your data for july 09… why don't you publish some traffic stats too, as that would give an idea of the value per blog reader… just an idea…

I noticed that you made more with your paid reviews than you did with your adsense. Was this just a down month? Or is this about what your average? One of the things I try to get my mind around is how many sites I should have and maintain in order to establish a solid online income. Any recommendations?
March 17th, 2010 at 9:52 pm
Paid reviews always pay better than anything else. How many blogs you need for a solid monthly income is a tough one. Depends on how much you need and how consistently the blogs produce. I like diversification across a bunch of different sites and different styles of income. I shoot for 5 to 6 solid sources from blogs, affiliate marketing, product sales, residual revenue, etc.
