Brent over at Logical Media emailed me a couple of weeks ago and asked me to look at their network to review on Blueverse.com. I signed up and took a look at what this Affiliate Network has to offer.
One thing I should tell you up front is that I tend to gravitate towards networks that I’ve used in the past. Mostly because I think a lot of the network’s backends just plain suck. I can easily spend as much time trying to figure things out as it takes to set up an entire freakin campaign. When new networks come along, I’ll only use them if they’re drop dead simple and intuitive.
What I thought of the Interface
The first thing I noticed when logging in to the Logical Media backend the first time is that the interface was nice and clean…and simple. In fact, at first I thought there wasn’t anything in the system because things were so uncluttered. That’s pretty refreshing. They use the DirectTrack system for those of you familiar with how an Affiliate Network is set up.
On the home page is the usual stuff, but it’s nicely laid out. Quick Stats show you what you’ve earned Overall, this Month, Yesterday and Today. Your Affiliate and Campaign Managers’ details are there along with a few Hot Offers. Some networks try and slam so much into the home screen that my brain starts hurting as soon as I log in. That’s when I just bail and go back to a network I don’t have to think about. It’s looking like Logical Media will become one of those fallback networks for me.
Selecting a campaign was really easy. They have the usual selection criteria and creative deployment options. Also, their offers were clearly marked with start dates, Type (CPA, CPC, CPS), creative samples and payout stats. The basic terms of each offer are covered in the initial Short Description as well.
What kind of offers do they have?
The million dollar (for some this can literally be a million $$$’s) differentiator is what type of offers they carry and what the payouts look like. Logical Media doesn’t have a crazy number of offers. In fact, they have a smaller number than most of the other networks I belong too. HOWEVER, I felt the quality of their offers were better than many other networks.
One thing they mention is that if they find an offer doesn’t perform well, they boot it from the system. I have to say, that’s a nice change from networks junked up with all sorts of crapola offers. The ones available were a nice mix to choose from and, given a larger list, would probably be close to the same ones I would have narrowed things down to as well. There really is something for just about everyone available on the network, especially when you think outside the box a bit for some cross promotion opportunities.
As for payouts on offers, I did a quick comparison of a few offers and found that payouts weren’t as good on Top 20 type offers. In some cases payouts were less than half of what’s available on other networks. This is definitely something you’ll want to cover with your Account Manager once you’re signed up.
One positive thing about payouts. Given that Logical Media is a smaller network, it’s very possible you’ll have some room to negotiate payouts depending on the amount of traffic you can drive and the offers you want to run. I would leverage the fact that they’re small and hopefully they’ll be willing to work with you a bit.
The usual reporting options including Real Time Reporting
Nothing too crazy to mention here. The usual reporting and tracking you’d expect from DirectTrack is included. I like the quick stats on the home page and specifically how they’re displayed. That let’s me see where I’m at without having to click a bunch to generate a report. More in depth reports are also available.
Get PAID to sign up!
Here’s the best part of this review. Make yourself some cash by just signing up for Logical Media. Yes, you read that right!
Logical Media will pay you $25 just for signing up! I don’t know of any other networks paying people to sign up, so this is a pretty cool incentive. The great thing is, you can sign up, run a few offers, and see what happens. If things suck, collect your check and move on. My hunch is you’ll find a group of people who want to help you succeed and grow their network at the same time. That’s a great position to be in as an affiliate.

True.. the interface is nice and simple and seems very easy to use.. but some aspects do not seem very authoritative and make one feel that this is another fly by night website. Particularly the landing page does not seem very influencing and unless I have read positive reviews like yours I may not be tempted to sign up.

I am never a fan of programs giving away money from signing up. The program should be of anough value for people to sign up without givin away stuff. If that is a problem the program is either no good, or they are not good enough to "sell" their program.
