Great post! Linkwheels are not what they once were though so I try to keep away from them. I agree with what you stated about getting links from authority sites but the 2.0 properties aren't the only way to get them. Great site!

Not based on what I'm seeing. I don't think you can rely on crap/automated ones like you used to be able to, but linking from multiple sources, especially social sites, is important for link building.
