Lately, It has come to my attention that I have never held a blog contest here, ever. I think its time for me to make one, since so many people were doing at the time when I started , I didn’t wanna be just another peanut in the pack. But now that I think about it, I think it’s a really good idea since my blog is infact in a good place and the uber fact that I have made a pros and cons list for this!

Pros

  1. Alotta exposure for me and my sponsors
  2. Alotta readers added to my current count
  3. Alot more traffic
  4. Alot more links
  5. Alot more comments
  6. Alot more activities going on
  7. Better relations with my sponsors
  8. New contacts made through asking for sponsorships
  9. My readers getting more free stuff
  10. The feeling of helping the community

Cons

  1. More work for me to do

To be honest I don’t mind the work as long as it’s for something I love, I already give away free wordpress themes whenever I can so why not a blog contest?

Blog contests are a really good way to give something back to the community using your skills, the more you work for the community the more the community will give back to you which will be basically you being a more successful blogger and your blog being a better resource for your readers, it’s all about having a good balance between monetization and care, seriously, if you care about your readers earning more and getting more as much as you earning yourself, you will definitely be successful, atleast thats the way I look at blueverse. :)
