There are millions of blogs, and there are millions of readers, what marries up the two? Search engines, and when we say search engines we are really talking about Google. So is there a way to ensure that the reader who wants to know what you are saying gets to see what you end up writing? SEO bloggers suggest that there is, it’s a writing style that encapsulates as many of the Google Keywords as possible in the article itself. So here we go, this is a BLOG, intended for BLOGGERS, who want to know how to WRITE A BLOG that optimises KEYWORDS, or as it is more commonly know SEO, or Search Engine Optimization. BLOGBLOG BLOGGEDY BLOG. But of course, that really isn’t how to do it, because what you end up with is pretty lame. It is a challenging style of writing, before doing blogs I wrote (and still do) technical articles for the Banking, Finance and Accounting Industries, where an economy of words and a very straightforward, if highly technical, language is used to clarify treatments of certain concepts in the real world. Indeed this would be the perfect style for most Bloggers to utilise as many of the articles were filled with much specialised terminology that didn’t really occur in any other media with frequency, concepts such as Net Present Values, and Materiality and Matching Concepts are unique to Finance and Accounting respectively, and appear, in context, with frequency. Therefore, any search on ‘The use of Materiality and Matching in Modern Accounting Practice’ typed into Google will probably bring up one of my articles (it does, I’ve just tried it, high up on the list even though it is a year old, not bad hey.) Unfortunately, many subjects do not utilise such highly specialised language, and not many people actively seek out very dusty and boring Finance articles. So how can a blogger translate this to the mass media market? There are many technical suggestions on many sites, not only BlueVerse, but www.dailyblogtips.com and www.bloggingtips.com to name but two, and I will not add to them here, suffice to say that I find these general tips helpful to bear in mind
· Keep your language tight, obey many if not all of accepted grammatical conventions (such as good punctuation and use of long-ish sentences)
· Get a good title, I love titles as they give an article or blog a real kick-start with the reader, and of course they will probably contain all of your Keywords. I’m quite pleased with the title for this article for instance.
· Don’t waffle on, trying to shoe horn in all of the Keywords as many times per line as possible, because, although you may get hits, they will probably all bounce straight off site when the read the drivel.
And on the not waffling on point, Ta Ta for Now (TTFN)
Someone asked this question on my mfa banned post and this is how i build links for my sites, actually i don’t really use my money to “mass” build links, usually the budget goes towards one really strong link on a relevant site, the things i look on that site are : Relevancy, Strength, Serps and PR. If all looks good then im in the game in no time, but to mass build links i do this..
Link Exchanges : Face it, the new site is not that good to be used in a link exchange so bait webmasters with already established websites, sites that get traffic, have a good pr maybe some great serps, the most important part is to keep things relevant make sure the link you are getting is from the same niche even if it is vague.
Blogposts : Everyone owns a blog these days so use your blog to update and usually people like to show that they own the following sites, so i’m doing the same here too, i placed mine on my blogroll..
And finally some SMM using digg/SU mostly others just tend to not produce good results or as relevant traffic.
My MFA testings are over!
So i made 2 mfas around a month ago , both had different tactics to get into search engine one had authority the other was just down right strong on links, the one with the most links got like 700,000 pages in google and around 40-50k daily uniques from google, now this was making around 100-150$/day and got banned just this morning so i don’t mind posting it anymore:
That one’s done, the other one is still rocking with more and more indexed pages per day the last i checked it was 88k, i think i made over $4,000 after investing 30$ in links, and 40 minutes of my time, i think i did pretty darn well!
Now about the blog, I’m finally getting a new theme for this blog the current one makes it really hard for me to read my own posts as well..
And about my work, I’m gonna fool around with more MFAs untill i have the perfect mix, so that i can make MFAs and be confident about it, so far all i can say is you have to build authority around MFAs to stay in google..
I agree that its the best way to promote your blog/site, a wordpress theme!
Bad neighborhoods, face it when you release a theme, you not only get good links but you also get the bad ones without asking, in my case, porno links…i mean they are still blogs and they do need themes, and are kind enough to leave a link so i can’t blame them, but this is kind of a let-down while building up a site..
I’ve been subscribed to Matt’s blog for a week now i wanted him to take another shot at explaining just why it is that he doesn’t like paid links besides the fact that they game/manipulate serps, its pretty obvious what you tell the newbie webmasters is:
If you don’t have links - You WON’T get a pr!
If you don’t have “keyworded” links - You WON’T get into serps!
For all my customers i tend to promote relevancy at first then anything else, but the thing is that people ask for PR and good SERPs not just authority and a good reader-base now-adays so the only way that can be done is link bait ( i like it better because thats cheaper ) all you need is a good idea and you get tons of natural “keyworded” links to your inner or homepage - good thing huh? well apparently not, with all the paid links flying around here some natural links might even get the hit, and thats where all the good hard work goes down the drain…
The only reason they hate paid links is there is a definite 60%+ chance that the reviewer or the seller is probably being so irrelevant and misguiding to the whole topic that it may spread bad/wrong info and that would ruin google’s credibility as a search engine and producing useful results.
Matt pointed out a link building guide of a sort.. as it notes out “Bad neighborhoods” i think every new blog or just a blog with alot of blogroll links are considered bad here as well, and that gets on my nerves because the only reason Google is being manipulated by paid links is because its letting that happen and everyone right this instant is making a ton of money doing that, in my opinion Google took the cheaper way out of the whole “Gaming SERPs” issue to keep its authority..
How i wish i knew SEO while starting out in the MMO world, affiliate marketing would’ve been a piece of cake…ah well..lets get on with the post then shall we?
** Note : While working with affiliates i suggest any affiliate company out there EXCEPT CJ.com, this is due to personal bad experiences many sales that were never recorded and i just don’t tolerate that **
This article is targetted at telling you the best ways to go about with Affiliates without spending a dime, because..lets face it..while starting out you won’t have much cash to work with anyway and whatever cash you do have must be invested towards the backend (server..scripts..domains..etc). Now these are my tried and tested methods that i have used and had alot of success with as well.
SEO, is the best approach towards Affiliate Marketing, now a good pitch towards your customers would do good too but this is easier and cheaper, lets say you are an affiliate of a Hardware Supplier and you are selling products on your site or in other words leading them to the suppliers site, the best way to get POTENTIAL BUYERS is to search for them, don’t go around spending money on PPC yet, heres what you should do:
1- Google for terms like
“Forum -Where do i buy hardware online?“
Now, if you skim through the results you will find alot of forums “hopefully” and you need to post your links there, register as a member and say something like..
“Hey there! I buy my hardware and blahblah.com and they have great prices! You should go there too!”
This will get you targeted visitors only, the only people who will click the links will be potential customers, quality over quantity.
You can try the same technique with other sites as well, this is the best kind of marketing tactic that i have ever used because i don’t have to spend much money this way and that makes me really happy, you can pull in some really good customers as well as get a-LOT of link love to your inner pages and slowly you can add more interactivity to your affiliate site and have even more users coming in for more then just hardware..maybe hardware reveiws..etc?
Now google is not the only place you can do this try google search and technorati or even Yahoo Answers which in my opinion is THE best place to promote these products, here are screenshots of those queries, blogs/forums are good place to promote your products/site because they let you post on the same page as the question whereas most sites do-not have a user-based commenting system or a thread system.
