Well in my opinion seo changes along with trends and we have to adapt to new tactics and strategies to rank higher then before, so i will try my best to add as many up to date seo tips as possible every week. This week we’ll be focusing on indexation and avoiding any kind of penalties that may occur in the future, prevention steps in other words. Here we go.
Link Building
If you are building links for a site remember to get both nofollow and dofollow links its good to have a good amount of both to avoid any suspicious robots from search engines, although it may seem paranoid to do so but it does help, having a good amount of both nofollow and dofollow places your blog in the gray area were you won’t be suspected upon as much.
The no follow links have to be from relevant sites as well as the do follow links, if you are focused on mentions and blog by just focusing on linkbaiting then it won’t hurt to buy a high pr link once in a while at a good directory, spoiling yourself once in a while doesn’t hurt, as a matter of fact recently i thought of treating myblog to another link, this time i submitted it to idk since i know its owner and he keeps the site in really good shape so it seemed like a great deal to me.

Fear Of Failing
Every project, every site comes with alot of risk of investment, no one but the investor knows just how big the risk is on his hand, dealing with the fear of losing everything is really hard specially if you are just starting out in your online career and a big fail like this can put a damper on your development for at least 6-8 months. Most webmasters share the same trait, it’s fact over feeling. Letting your brain do the judging rather then what you want to do.
It’s important to know when to quit but not to have irrational thoughts over cancelling an on-going project just because of a “fear” of failure, the best thing to do at these times is to take a note of all the pros and cons from all the projects at hand and weigh them, to know what your weaknesses are in the project and if you could make those weaknesses into strengths or not, usually when you have more liabilities in a projects its best to call it quits but if you are looking way into a weakness and exaggerating it so much, just to make it a real problem for yourself then you’ll convince yourself to call it quits.

Constant growth is really important to make money online and learning from your mistakes is the biggest step in making money online, most importantly you need to actually go for something in order to have mistakes, like in an video i saw last night on Michael’s blog where he mentions a quote from the video interview of Farah Gray
Everything we want is on the other side of FEAR
An important quality needed in an entrepreneur is the ability of taking the risks to learn from any mistakes that occur during the way, when I started working online for a living I had more then my fair share of mistakes but i never regret them because there was a lesson to be learned on every step and even now after 2 years of online work, I still learn a new lesson every now and then and if you do lose money to learn an important lesson, so be it. Some reasons to go for risky steps in order to learn from them are highlighted below.

I’m always looking for designing resources to make my wordpress themes better and stand out more then others out there and i have infact tried and incorporated a different view of a weblog in every one of my themes.
The only way to make the content stand out more is to have it on a plain white background with a detailed pattern as the page background, alot of weblogs have done this and most of the time the pattern goes un-noticed even though the readers don’t always realize why it is that they are drawn to the content more.
Here are 3 great resources for bg patterns.
ShutterStock Patterns
Rawsterne
Patternhead
Besides from ready made backgrounds here are 2 of my favourite sites, the generators.
Stripe Generator
Tartan Maker
All the resources posted above is not just for webdesigners but for bloggers as well the patterns here aren’t just for themes, templates and wallpapers but for ordinary pictures as well, such as banners for posts, titles within pictures to spice the post up.
Such as this banner
