I come across a dozen of these online services for bloggers almost daily and only some of them end up on my top list, these are the tools that make my life easier, some help me to drive traffic while others help me by providing useful stats for my blog, either way, I’m sure that the following services will prove useful for you too!
I did post a bad review of blogrush long ago but after revisiting the site and trying it out again i think i can make this work, blogrush is an interactive traffic solution for bloggers, you provide traffic to other bloggers and they do the same for you the more clicks on the blogtraffic widget the more traffic you get in return, the blogrush tool has got several updates since i last used it!
Every project, every site comes with alot of risk of investment, no one but the investor knows just how big the risk is on his hand, dealing with the fear of losing everything is really hard specially if you are just starting out in your online career and a big fail like this can put a damper on your development for at least 6-8 months. Most webmasters share the same trait, it’s fact over feeling. Letting your brain do the judging rather then what you want to do.
It’s important to know when to quit but not to have irrational thoughts over cancelling an on-going project just because of a “fear” of failure, the best thing to do at these times is to take a note of all the pros and cons from all the projects at hand and weigh them, to know what your weaknesses are in the project and if you could make those weaknesses into strengths or not, usually when you have more liabilities in a projects its best to call it quits but if you are looking way into a weakness and exaggerating it so much, just to make it a real problem for yourself then you’ll convince yourself to call it quits.
Traffic is what a blog revolves around. There are many successful bloggers that have come to understand this. After all, your blog would be useless without having a good amount of traffic. You can increase your blog traffic by using social media websites such as Digg and del.icio.us. Bloggers have learned how to use these types of websites to their advantage which has led them to higher amounts of incoming traffic. This article will help you maximize your blog traffic by using social media websites.
If you use a social media website correctly, you can expect a good amount of high-quality links pointing to your content. There are two types of traffic that can be generated to your blog by utilizing social media websites. The first one is primary traffic, which is simply a high number of traffic that is generated directly from a social media website. The second one is secondary traffic, this is from other websites linking to you. This will send additional traffic to your blog.
An RSS feed is defined as a way to regularly deliver fresh content from websites who have ever changing content. The websites using an RSS Feed simply syndicate their content to whoever wants it. Usually these will be the news sites, blogs, and several other types of online publishers.
An RSS Feed will allow you as the reader to stay up-to-date with the topics that interest you the most, just by subscribing to the RSS Feed. This way you don’t have to spend all of your time surfing around to visit each website or blogging community individually. Most time’s you don’t even have to subscribe to the newsletter offered which helps keep your email private. Most of today’s blogs and websites that publish new and fresh content daily offer an RSS Feed for your reading enjoyment.
To subscribe to the RSS Feed, you will need a feed reader or news aggregator software in order to get the RSS Feeds and display them for you to read. There are many different platforms for RSS Readers so that no matter what system you are using, you will be able to read and use the RSS Feed.
It’s really important to know what you’re going to do before you do it otherwise the unexpected occurs frequently, before i launch a new blog to add to my current network I do alot of market research and build a business plan on it before i actually spend the smallest fee of $9 on the domain, even the smallest investments can turn into gold if you do it right. Most of the times I’ve seen webmasters go after the most popular niche and hope to succeed based on someone else’s success, that’s not really how it happens because others have already done their researcha and invested their time and money building up their niche to a place where it’s considered a success.
Niche Selection
I won’t say “never go after the popular niche” because sometimes if you do the right type of advertising on the most relevant content it would produce amazing results and not to forget, content is king so all you may need in the first place could be just quality content, but for your own investment’s sake, do some research on the niche and keywords you would be targeting. For SERP traffic i always optimize my sites for google, Google does have the majority of the search community covered, so yea I’d choose it in a heartbeat.
Google trends is a good tool to look at keyword trends in current and past content, usually the upcomging trends such as in the image below have alot more potential then the ones that are already popular/successful. They contain a developing trend that will definitely prove useful to you if you research the niche fully.
Google SERPs, taking a look at the competition is important too, just run a few queries with the keywords you want and browse through all the top 20 results to see how your future competitors are doing. This can tell you alot about how to and how to not run a site. Learning from others mistakes.
Thats the question every webmaster asks himself at one point where his site isn’t exactly getting the exposure it is supposed to, this is where almost any webmaster would give in to buying traffic, I know I’ve spent a few hundred dollars on traffic not ppc and from several different media types as well, every type of traffic has its own ups and downs, heres a little break down of it.
“10,000 visitors” type deals
You can find tons and tons of these deals on digitalpoint mainly if not there then try google, basicly the traffic is from those get paid to click kinda site more famously known as autosurf, the only thing you would get is more pageviews/hits on your site but remember that these are not potential readers, they are just their to view your site for 30 seconds (for some its 15) and then move on to the next one.
I won’t say that this is a bad deal but i run blogs and i need readers not just viewers, the kind of traffic these systems send you is really unresponsive, if you are running CPM ads you could earn more, although this is perfect in theory I haven’t tried GPT traffic on CPM ads. Read more
Constant growth is really important to make money online and learning from your mistakes is the biggest step in making money online, most importantly you need to actually go for something in order to have mistakes, like in an video i saw last night on Michael’s blog where he mentions a quote from the video interview of Farah Gray
Everything we want is on the other side of FEAR
An important quality needed in an entrepreneur is the ability of taking the risks to learn from any mistakes that occur during the way, when I started working online for a living I had more then my fair share of mistakes but i never regret them because there was a lesson to be learned on every step and even now after 2 years of online work, I still learn a new lesson every now and then and if you do lose money to learn an important lesson, so be it. Some reasons to go for risky steps in order to learn from them are highlighted below.
