As you all know there was a pagerank update going on a few days back, I didn’t give it much thought because I knew that my blog would get a stronger pagerank then before anyway, with all the content and free themes how can i not?
Anyway, yesterday I ran a few tests on my blog such as pagerank, links, strength, pages..etc
I found alot of things that caught my eye, well first of all is the pagerank, I’m finally a pagerank 5 which is a really good thing because all of my hard work is finally paying off now, now moving on to the stats and other things that make me say “okay what the fuck”
The stats you see below are way below my standards although a 61% means a pr6 just like the pagestrength tool, its still not enough for my blog, i think its time to change strategies and work harder.

As for me, all of these latest happenings effected me in a huge way, right now blueverse is not where I would want it to be and it’s not going the right way either. It’s becoming more of a personal blog then something authoritative, so, this is what I’ll be doing in August.

It’s been a busy week so I haven’t been able to keep up with my regular update posts here, as any “in progress” blogger I’m working really hard too to come up as one the successful blog network owners which earn like 10-20k/month from each blog. Working on 2-3 blogs at the same time can be an amazing strain on your health (no sarcasm), it gets really hard to concentrate on just 2-3 blogs sometimes.
Currently, I’m running this blog, Joocbox and cssFEDD and even though I only have 3 blogs at hand content planning can be really time consuming and stressful, well for 2 of them atleast. Every now and then I spend about 2 hours on each of those except blueverse because this blog takes up atleast 3-4 hours of my time.
This month’s first sale was surprisingly a theme for a make money online blog, Shannon from Infectedbybugs, the first draft was made last night and in a few days you will see a complete new theme on that blog courtesy of yours truly :). I’d like to think that I’m a make money blog specialist, Ad placement is really important, the more exposure you give the ads the more advertisers are attracted towards advertising deals with you.
On the SEO area, I think this blog needs some more work on its categories and tags, when I first started this blog in 2006 I didn’t have a direction in which to go in it was only in Jan 08 when i made it a MMO blog, so I think a complete overhaul of the categories and tags is in order and I will get to it soon. It’s important for a blog to have only the necessary category and tags on every page because anything else is just taking up space then.
It’s always productive to keep looking for blogroll links from fellow bloggers specially from blogs that are in the same niche as you. In this post I will use myself as an example, I emailed an owner of a blog in the same niche as me and asked for a link (no answer yet, since I just emailed her) and I found it kinda interesting the way I came to did all of that.
Yesterday, I posted my blog income report for the last month (may) as I usually do every month & that list was linked on other blogs like it always does, like in lists and other type of link love posts. I was listed in a list of bloggers at incomediary , In the list I found it kinda funny that Caroline beat me by 1$, so I thought why not just drop an email for a blogroll link (since I dont really give away my blog rolls easily to just anyone ). After I was done I started reading the list again and it made me realise that if I mailed her for a link because she has a great blog and is quite good at what she does too why can’t i mail others in the same list as well, they are in the same niche as me and they are successful as well, all the right reasons are there just waiting for me to pounce at em’ After going to a few sites on the list I saw a huge potential for some really strong backlinks and then I tried to figure out if it would work for other niches and blogs too, personally, I think this trick would work for just about anyone out there.
If you can find a top list of a sort online for your niche then I’d suggest contacting them for some link exchanging, never let a good chance for backlinks slip by ;).
